Hello and welcome! I’m Layla Al-Hassan, a passionate traveler, storyteller, and proud daughter of Iraq. Born and raised in Baghdad, I’ve spent my life immersed in the rich tapestry of history, culture, Iraqi cuisine, and landscapes that define our beautiful country. My journey has taken me from the bustling streets of Baghdad to the ancient ruins of Babylon, and across the vibrant markets of Basra and the breathtaking hills of Iraqi Kurdistan.
My Journey
Growing up in a city steeped in history, I was captivated early on by the stories that every street and monument had to tell. I pursued my passion academically by earning a degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Baghdad. This education not only deepened my understanding of Iraq’s diverse cultural heritage but also ignited a lifelong mission: to share the authentic, multifaceted beauty of Iraq with the world.
From exploring age-old ruins to sampling the mouthwatering flavors of traditional Iraqi cuisine, my travels and tours in Iraq have shown me that our country is far more than the headlines suggest. Each journey is an opportunity to discover hidden gems, meet warm and welcoming locals, and witness firsthand the resilient spirit that defines us.
